Am I the right Instrument Instructor for you?

Are you a beginner, a little shy but have always wanted to learn how to play an instrument?

Are you already a professional, but want to pick up a new instrument or enhance your skills on an instrument at which you are not yet an expert?

Are you (or the person you are teacher-shopping for) a younger student, just starting out on the path of studying music?

Are you in a band where you sing lead or background vocals, but would like to be able to play some basic stuff on one or a few auxiliary instruments when necessary?

Are you a singer-songwriter or songwriter, usually accompanying yourself, with basic guitar knowledge but want to be able to read, play, and write charts?

Do you have very little instrument experience but would you like to learn how to do basic piano or guitar accompaniment for yourself or another?

Are you a sensitive soul who needs a supportive, friendly coach?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, we would probably be a great fit!

I may not be a good teacher for:

A seasoned professional who has already had two or more years of serious study.

A younger student seeking a strict and rigorous classical private music education.

So now what?

If you are interested in scheduling a first session, select a time slot and location that works for you from the booking site.

All sessions are purchased "a la carte," which allows you to try out a session or two without making a big commitment. At the end of our first meeting, we will discuss your needs and schedule and you will be able to decide if you would like to continue with further sessions. For someone taking study seriously, I recommend no longer than two weeks in between sessions, but it is crucial that the student use the time in between sessions to practice and work on "homework." Without the homework done, there is little point to meeting.

All sessions are purchased individually, but you may schedule many lessons at once if you like.

Because of my unpredictable working-musician's schedule, single-lessons can only be scheduled one month or less in advance, and it will be unlikely that we will be able to meet on a consistent day and time each week. My availability is plugged into the booking site so that you can select what works best for you within those parameters.
